Mr. Md. Mohiuddin Rubel entered the business after completing his Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from the North South University. He is a Director of Denim Expert Ltd – a niche denim manufacturing plant. The Denim Expert is the first company in Bangladesh which developed its own denim brand BlueXonly that is exported and sold in Europe.

Mr. Rubel is a dynamic business personality who is actively involved in the development activities of Bangladesh apparel industry. He is the Managing Director of Bangladesh Apparel Exchange Ltd. (BAE), a private-led initiative promoting the country’s apparel industry. The BAE’s flagship event Bangladesh Denim Expo is a must-to-attend event in international denim calendar which has redefined Bangladesh’s role in global denim scene. His organization the BAE initiated the first ever apparel knowledge sustainability event in Bangladesh titled ‘Sustainability Apparel Forum (SAF)’. The BAE is also organizing Bangladesh Fashionology Summit for promoting use of modern technology and innovation in the country’s apparel industry. BAE was also an “Implementing Partner” in Sustainable Sourcing in the Garment Sector (SSGS) Conference organized by the Embassy of the Netherlands in Bangladesh in September 2016. It also collaborated with Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers& Exporters Association (BGMEA) to organize the second edition of Dhaka Apparel Summit in 2017.

Apart, he is the only Member from Bangladesh in the CEO Advisory Council of the United States Green Building Council (USGBC). He is a Member of the Medical Trustee Board of Karnaphuli Export Processing Zone (KEPZ).

Recently he has been elected as a board member of BGMEA for 2019-2020 tenure where he has been dealing with Sustainability, Technology, Branding and Fair & Event mainly with all other smaller responsibilities as per the board and industry demand.
